PET Bottle Recycling and Recycling Technology

Krones of Germany succeeded in developing the world's leading PET bottle recycling technology. This technology is to cut squashed PET bottles into pieces, after preliminary screening, metal removal, separation of labels and caps, separation of impurities, deep cleaning, etc. After the step, a certain proportion of new PET material is blended to make a food grade usable beverage packaging material. This technology is safe and practical, energy saving and environmental protection, economic benefits are obvious, the annual processing capacity up to 15,000 tons of PET beverage bottles, and has a series of advantages of low operating costs, low processing temperature, visual manipulation.

It is worth mentioning that the old PET bottle to be recycled does not require manual removal of the bottle caps and labels, but instead automatically removes the bottle caps and labels through a series of physical methods during the treatment process. In addition, the chemical coating removal technology is used to caustic soda. The surface of the PET bottle is removed for the chemical coating remover so that contaminants adhering thereto can be removed. The PET bottle manufactured by this recycling technology has been subjected to microbiological testing by an authoritative organization, chemical composition testing, and challenge test testing. It meets the requirements of the FAO food grade standard, and the product has low acetaldehyde and yellow pigment content, which can satisfy purity and quality. The requirements are particularly applicable to the food and beverage industry, and its cost is 20%-30% lower than the average new material. At present, the Krones company's pilot plant has started operations, and the small-scale plant was officially put into production in Bangladesh in July this year.

Due to the different recycling, sanitary and storage conditions of waste PET bottles in different countries, Krones can also conduct relevant production tests for waste PET bottles from different countries, and conduct corresponding microbiological and chemical tests.
