Why do we need carton printing technology?
If the production of a carton cannot maintain the original physical index of the edge pressure of the cardboard, how to guarantee the carton's pressure to the customer. The leaders of carton factories often say that there is no problem with the edge pressure of cardboard, but the pressure of the carton is sometimes enough and sometimes not enough. In fact, it does not achieve the poor printing technology of carton.
For example, the original thickness of a piece of cardboard is 6.5mm, and the thickness of the cardboard is less than 5mm through the finger-feeding roller. Do you think the physical pointer can be stable (quality)? Is the printing pressure stable (operational standard)? Can paper weight and physical index be standardized? If the weight of paper is over the standard, can it be reduced to the standard (cost)? Can the printing operation standards be set (no data can be set)? So can print production satisfy customers without control?
Master the poor printing technology of carton and start from 5 aspects
Today, the carton printing technology we want to discuss mainly starts from 5 aspects:
1. The standard of cardboard:
4 data must be measured before the cardboard enters the printing machine-
1. At least three to five positions in the direction of the width of the cardboard door, to determine the adjustment of the gap between the printing presses, and the adjustment of the quantity of large batches.
2. If there is a box pressure requirement, the side pressure must be measured first. After printing, measure whether the side pressure of the printed pattern and the blank position has no pressure feed as the adjustment basis.
3. Measure the temperature of the paperboard, especially the temperature of the coated paper should be close to normal temperature. If it is too high, the fan should be used to cool down. 4. The cardboard thickness figures before and after printing production must be the same in order to keep the cardboard from degrading without feeding the carton.
2. Printing operation technology and standards:
1. The gap setting between the printing plate and the ceramic anilox roller can only be the same as the thickness data of the printing plate (called zero point). The position where the ink cannot be reached is affixed to the thickness on the back side of the printing with transparent tape. The knife is removed, and finally the printing plate is evenly flat. If all the printing plates are consistent, the position is fixed and there is no need to adjust.
2. The printing pressure can be adjusted to the same after the first step is completed, because there is no difference in the thickness of the printing plate, the adjustment standard is based on the thickness of the cardboard as the test machine standard, the printing pressure gap value can only reduce the cardboard The thickness can only have a standard of 0.4mm. Exceeding this data is a problem with other conditions. To deal with other aspects, only light pressure that adheres to the printing pressure can guarantee the poor quality of the carton printing.
3. All the actual paper gaps of the printing press and the actual data must be corrected at a fixed time, and can be accurate during operation according to the data conditions.
Third, the printing machine transfer ink conditions:
The overprint accuracy of the printing press is to ensure the reproduction of the original printed by the dot, so the ability of the ceramic anilox wheel to transfer ink to the printing plate is very important, so the high mesh capacity of the high mesh ceramic anilox wheel is higher than that of the low mesh ceramic anilox wheel. The ink-carrying vehicle has good ink transfer ability, which can effectively reduce the printing pressure on the printing plate and cardboard. Generally, 400lpic5.8bcm or 500lpi4.5cm can be selected. Each ceramic anilox wheel manufacturer has different ink transfer ability according to different processing methods.

1. Choosing a printing plate with good ink transfer ability can reduce the printing pressure. A variety of plate materials can be selected and pasted on the same security film and printed on the cardboard for comparison. A printing plate with good ink transfer can be selected.

V. Suitability of ink and wash:
1. Different facial papers have different ink and ink requirements, such as general kraft paper high gram heavy facial paper, low gram heavy facial paper, dry or wet facial paper, and set standards after testing. The resin binder used for coated facial paper ink The pH values ​​are different.
2. Different mesh numbers and different ink content ceramic anilox wheels need different pH and viscosity (measuring speed of measuring cup), so the mesh number of ceramic anilox wheels on the same machine should be the same In order to avoid the color difference caused by two batches of the same printing plate printed on different ceramic anilox wheels with the same ink standard.
3. When printing cannot be completely transferred during printing, do not use heavy printing pressure as the method, but adjust the pH value or adjust the resin binder to solve the problem of printing transfer.
4. There is a large temperature difference between summer and winter. Ink and ink should also be adjusted differently. It should be slower in summer and faster in winter. In summer, the temperature is higher and the pH value of ink is higher. In winter, it returns to its original condition.
Plant conditions will also affect poor printing results
The above matters are due to regional environmental conditions, plant temperature and humidity. Environmental conditions will affect the cardboard and the printing machine, so the factory conditions will also affect the poor printing results. Offset printing requires a separate constant temperature and humidity environment, and flexo printing is also not necessary. Working in an environment that is hot, too cold, too dry, and too humid can reduce the loss; the printing machine must be regularly maintained and the gap value corrected to ensure the accuracy of the operation, and the quality of the carton product is more stable.
