Zip-Pak Develops Resealable Zippered Flexible Packaging Technology

At present, the global demand for resealable flexible packaging technology is increasing day by day. Consumers are increasingly enjoying the convenience of press-fit or sliding zipper packaging, and brand manufacturers are using this emerging technology to enhance the appeal of the product's stores.

After a thorough study of North American, Latin American, European, and Asian markets, Zip-Pak concluded that re-sealable zippers have been greatly welcomed in the food industry (retail and institutional sectors) and the dairy product market. The application area is continuously expanding, such as: The non-food retail product market will be the next largest and fast-growing market. It includes pet feeds, nutraceuticals and cosmetics, and there has been a significant increase in the use of zipper technology in the packaging of personal care products (eg wet wipes).

Based on current and potential customer requirements and forecasts of market demand, Zip-Pak has developed more than 200 patented zipper products that can provide customers with customized solutions. Its re-sealable zipper can be applied to almost any type of flexible bag. Customers can choose the right zipper based on the resin compatibility of the bag material: Polypropylene compatible zipper, PVC zipper and biodegradable plastic zipper. This attractive bag package is made of high barrier polyester film, which embodies the quality of prefabricated bags. Zip-Pak push-type zippers are provided on each bag so that consumers can store uneaten food easily and conveniently.

To give retortable food companies the ability to add re-sealable, new packaging features to their packaging while providing added convenience to their end users, Zip-Pak worked with Toyo Seikan, Japan's leading packaging film manufacturer, to develop a reusable zipper bag.

This cooking zipper can withstand the high temperature of 125 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes during cooking, and can be applied to a flat or four-side sealed bag machine. There is a tab under the zipper to prevent the contents of the bag from contacting the zipper during cooking. When the package is initially opened, the tab separates the zipper from the baggage, and the zipper portion can be kept clean, making the package more attractive. This kind of connecting piece can keep the package safe for the user and can easily find a replacement bag.
