Thunder plans to go to the US for financing of about US $ 200 million to start in April (VC299)

According to the news on March 23, it is understood that Thunder recently officially joined the listing team of Chinese Internet companies. The company plans to go public in the United States and raise about 200 million US dollars. The IPO process will start as soon as April.
It is reported that Thunder was founded in Shenzhen in 2003 and has been based on providing multimedia download services for the global Internet. It has been recognized and invested by several well-known venture capital companies such as Chenxing Technology and IDG. On January 5, 2007, Thunder announced the third round of financing success. The leading investment in this round of financing was the source of the joint venture strategy. Participating investments included Morningside Ventures, IDG, Fidelity Asia Ventures. Google also made a strategic investment in Thunder.
Xunlei went public in the US this time, with Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase as joint lead underwriters. Xunlei raised funds will focus on downloading software, online video network advertising and digital distribution platform technology innovation and other fields.
Thunder CEO Zou Shenglong once revealed that Thunder currently serves 402 million users, covering 193 countries and regions around the world, and has become the world's largest download engine. The growth of its personal charging business has also surpassed the advertising business, and it is expected that its revenue in 2011 will reach 10 billion yuan.
It is reported that there are many domestic Internet or mobile Internet companies planning to go public in 2011, including Qihoo, Wangqin, Qianqin, and Thunder. Possible listings include PPS, Kaixin.com, Tudou.com, Qunar, Taomi.com, and Century. Ganji.com or even 2011 may be the culmination of the collective listing of Chinese Internet companies.
However, the issue of piracy may cast a shadow on the listing of Thunder. Earlier, Sohu and Youpengle jointly went to Shenzhen to "condemn" Thunder, and sued Xunlei for illegally providing pirated links of Sohu and Youpengle's film and television plays for users to download. Earlier, the American Film Association in Washington had stated that its six member companies sued in the Pudong District Court in Shanghai, accusing Thunder of providing pirated movies including Spider-Man 3.
