6. 1998 was the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Peking University. As one of the celebrations, the Beijing University climbed the sixth highest peak of the world, Zhuo'ao Youfeng (8,201 meters above sea level). The three players reached the top, filling the gap at the peak of the 8,000-meter peak of the domestic amateur mountaineering organization.
7. In the summer of 1999, the women's mountaineering team was established for the first time and went to Sichuan to climb the summit of Xuebao (5588 meters above sea level). The women's mountaineering team is the first Chinese women's mountaineering team.
