French home furnishing company Milibo launches customizable 3D print pots

Milibo, a well-known French furniture and household goods company, has been involved in 3D printing . The company's recently launched limited edition interior collection includes a set of 5 customizable flower pots that are not only 3D printed, but also add to the consumer's contribution – very much in line with Miliboo “Depends on you (Up To You)" concept.

It is understood that Miliboo has always been known for its reasonable pricing and contemporary home décor. This 5-piece 3D print pot series is designed to absorb Mexican country-style elements (windmills, roofs, etc.), plus vibrant, refreshing white, pink and yellow tones. Great for your summer home decor.

However, the most important thing is that for consumers, the price of these 3D printed custom flower pots is also very suitable. Basically, consumers only need to choose the type of flower pot they want from five designs (or a series of designs) on the Miliboo website, as well as the size and color they like. Once placed, Miliboo's team will use ABS plastic to print their 3D in their factory.

It is worth mentioning that Miliboo also provides a real-time playback function that allows their customers to track and observe their flowerpot making process via the Internet. This means that if you order a decoration from their store, you can watch the layer-by-layer print creation process of your flowerpot through the camera. In a consumer environment where most manufacturing processes are fairly opaque, Miliboo's offering is truly refreshing.

According to the company, depending on the size, the additive manufacturing process for each pot takes approximately 8 hours. Once the product has been printed and processed in 3D, customers can retrieve their products at the Milibootik store in Paris, which is open 24 hours a day. It is understood that the retail price of each 3D printed vase is about 7.90 euros.

Guillaume Lachenal, founder and president of Miliboo, commented: “Innovation and customization have been at the heart of the Miliboo service since its inception. Under the guidance of the “depends on you” philosophy, we have introduced the concept of custom stools, chairs and tables. And this new 3D printed custom flowerpot is in line with our strategy to provide our customers with a unique shopping experience."

In addition to the new 3D printing product line, Miliboo will also create a corner in Milibootik to showcase 3D printing technology and 3D printing products.
