Bethesda teamed up with 3D printer manufacturer MyMiniFactory to create a real-size BFG model that is one meter long and requires at least three people to carry it.
Earlier, Bethesda sought to cooperate with MyMiniFactory to materialize BFG and sent the original modeling data of BFG in the game. Kirby Downey, the chief designer of MyMiniFactory, took about 35 hours to get the design. In order to print smoothly, MyMiniFactory cuts the model into more than 70 small parts. Surprisingly, the entire printing phase lasted more than 1,000 hours—some of which took a month to be printed.

After the print is finished, Sarah Wade, the person in charge of the follow-up work, needs to lead everyone to piece together the pieces and color them to make them as close as possible to the image in the game. This model completely restored the size of BFG in Doom 4. Although in the video, a person lifted the BFG, Bethesda still said: "It is too big, and it takes at least three people to move it."
