Ink scraper wear mechanism

Normally, the scraper has four wear mechanisms

1. Adhesive wear 2. Abrasive wear 3. Corrosive wear, oxidation 4. Trace corrosion, fatigue wear

Generally speaking, all wear mechanisms will work, but there will always be a mechanism that plays a major role.

Through the analysis of the wear blade, the main wear mechanism can be judged, so that the wear can be reduced through appropriate steps, thereby greatly extending the life of the blade and the roller.

There is no damage to the contact area, and the edges of the contact area are clear and undistorted.

Sufficient lubrication can ensure good adhesion between the doctor blade and the ink, which is the best way to extend the life of the doctor blade. However, this will change the color tone of the ink. If this layer is not sufficiently lubricated, the doctor blade will dry out, thereby aggravating the adhesive wear between the doctor blade and the roller. This will produce streaks on the drum, which in turn will produce small chrome flakes that will damage the chromium layer. Early chrome layer wear usually occurs in the engraved area because the linear pressure of the scraper in the engraved area is higher than in the non-engraved area.

This may cause the following printing problems:

• Pull wire • Hue change • Partial chrome layer fades

ways to improve

• Reduce the pressure of the blade • Increase the anti-differentiation strength of the chrome layer • Increase the surface roughness • Increase the hardness of the chrome layer • Increase the thickness of the chrome layer • Use a coated blade
