This new water-based acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive has unprecedented shear strength. There is no water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive product that can be compared with it in terms of shear strength and high temperature resistance. ROBOND Prohesion can withstand extremely stringent heat shear tests up to 50 hours at a high temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit (62 degrees Celsius) and is superior to some solvent-based adhesives. In addition, the product also has high moisture resistance that is not available in general water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive products. Even in prolonged exposure to harsh environments with 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius) and relative humidity of 90%, ROBOND Prohesion can still maintain 80 % or more peel strength.
