Today, Covet House celebrates design with a remarkable project that comes straight from Barcelona. This project has been thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs of the people who will inhabit it, thanks to the expertise of the interior design company Recdit8. The brand Brabbu, globally renowned for creating inspiring environments and spaces, played a significant role in this project. Their aim is always to inspire through their designs, which draw inspiration from nature and cultural influences.
We’re thrilled to showcase this incredible project, which highlights a key aspect of Brabbu’s brand identity. The luxury manufacturer had the unique opportunity to decorate an awe-inspiring Art Apartment in Barcelona. It was a true honor to work within such a prestigious setting, and Brabbu seized every chance to create a romantic and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. They achieved this by incorporating exquisite pieces that truly bring meaning and character to a space, thus earning the apartment the title of "Art Apartment."
The renovation of this extraordinary apartment was entrusted to the talented team at Recdi8. Through careful research into the building's history, they ensured that the original architectural elements, which might have otherwise been neglected over time, were preserved and celebrated.
As mentioned earlier, the decor was heavily influenced by the natural world, along with elements from the Rococo and Romanticism styles. Brabbu’s presence in this project is particularly evident in the living room design, which exudes a distinctly mid-century charm. To achieve this timeless aesthetic, four Maya armchairs were selected. These chairs, upholstered in cotton velvet, offer a plush seating experience while providing a striking contrast to other design elements in the room.
Let’s take a closer look at this exceptional piece. The armchair’s vibrant yellow hue draws inspiration from corn, a crucial component of Maya culture, symbolizing everything from daily life to religious beliefs and mythology. The chair’s delicate curves mimic the graceful lines of the female form, while the Sacred Tree of Life (Palenque) adds an air of mysticism and balance. This harmonious blend makes the Maya armchair a standout centerpiece in any living room. Its soft velvet upholstery provides unmatched comfort and elegance.
The living room embodies a philosophy rooted in nature, blending harmony and strength—a hallmark of Brabbu’s design approach.
