You're facing a common but frustrating problem, and while it's not exactly a packaging issue in the traditional sense, it’s one we see often. The good news is there are some cost-effective solutions you can try to protect your ticket paper from moisture.

The simplest and most affordable option is silica gel. These small desiccant packets absorb excess moisture and can be placed directly inside the machine. For best results, use around 5 grams of silica gel per cubic foot of space. You can buy them in bulk online or from local suppliers, and they’re easy to install and replace as needed.

If you suspect the machine itself is leaking, another great solution is heat shrink wrap. This is a lightweight, water-resistant material that creates a protective barrier over the machine. It allows full access to the buttons and slots, so users can still operate the machine easily. Just make sure to leave a small gap for the coin and ticket slots. You can purchase the film in rolls or use pre-made pallet covers if they fit. A heat gun will be required to apply the wrap properly, and you’ll need a power source nearby. Both methods are relatively inexpensive and can significantly reduce the risk of damp tickets. They’re also easy to maintain and won’t interfere with the machine’s functionality.
