China will vigorously develop "green packaging"

Qiu Chung-kai, president of the China Packaging Technology Association, said here today that in response to global environmental protection trends, China must vigorously develop “green packaging” to meet the challenges of technical barriers, environmental barriers, and quarantine inspection rules of various countries. He pointed out that first, the development of green packaging materials, that is, good environmental performance, no harm to the environment and the human body, can be recycled or easily degradable packaging materials. Second, promote cleaner production. The packaging industry shall implement clean production management in accordance with the requirements of the Cleaner Production Act. Third, implement recycling of packaging waste. Fourth, speed up the process of integration with international standards. In the packaging industry to vigorously promote international standards, improve the international competitiveness of China's packaging products.
