During the 20th China International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition, Nissei ASB Machine, a Japanese manufacturer of plastics processing equipment, exhibited a new all-electric injection stretch blow molding (ISBM) equipment ASB-15N/10E. According to the company's introduction, this new type of equipment can save a lot of cost compared to conventional hydraulic ISBM equipment. In fact it can reduce energy consumption by 60% and water consumption by 90% (water used only for mold cooling). In addition, due to faster mold opening/closing and metering, it also has better reproducibility and a shorter cycle time. The new device is equipped with eight servo systems for all axes, including a high-torque servo system for injection.
