Thank-Metal Launches High Performance Pressure Sensitive Tape

Thank-metal Co., Ltd. recently used APTIV thin film to develop a high-performance pressure-sensitive tape “Tough Tape”, which became the first high-performance tape made in Japan using APTIV film.

APTIV film combines many excellent properties, including abrasion resistance and abrasion resistance, high heat resistance, chemical resistance, radiation resistance, high purity and electrical insulation. In addition, its stable hydrolysis properties, low moisture absorption and permeability are ideal substrates for high performance pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. APTIV film can withstand extremely high processing temperatures when using lead-free solder and is therefore an excellent masking material for electronic applications. In addition, APTIV film also meets a number of accreditation and standards in aviation, automotive, fire prevention, smoke prevention, anti-virus, food/water and military applications.

Tough Tape can be adhered to a variety of non-sticky materials with a thickness of 25 microns. According to Thank-metal, the adhesive tape is mainly used in the electronics and semiconductor equipment industry, and its potential applications include automotive, aerospace, industrial, lighting and battery industries that have extremely high requirements for wear resistance and electrical insulation. And wire coatings and heat shields that require plain bearings and wear resistance.
