Corrugated board flexo inks

Flexographic printing inks fall into three categories: flexographic water-based inks (mainly used for paper printing); flexographic alcohol-soluble inks (mainly used for plastic printing); flexographic UV inks (which are universal inks). China's corrugated board printing uses water-based ink, because:

● Corrugated board has simple text and pattern, no need for high gloss;
● Corrugated cardboard paper, loose structure, strong ink absorption, using water-based ink printing, is conducive to penetration drying;
● Water-based ink is non-toxic, odorless, and non-flammable. It will not affect the quality of the product. It is easy to use and safe, and it has low cost.
Water-based inks are broadly divided into two categories: rosin-maleic acid modified resin series (low-grade); acrylic resin (high-grade).
The following two principles should be followed in the selection of water-based inks for corrugated printing:
● Due to the large area of ​​corrugated cartons, the rollers are exposed to air and the printing speed is slow. Therefore, the ink must be dried at a slower speed. Otherwise, the ink can easily dry on the printing plate, causing uneven printing on the ground and the cable paste. Version.
● Grasp the fluidity of ink. Especially when printing a multicolored ink, it should be noted that the latter color is slower than the previous color ink.
