Advances in research on relationship between subalpine tree growth and climate change in Wuhan Botanical Garden

The ecological environment conditions of the species distribution area change along the terrain and climate gradient, which leads to the spatial difference of the tree growth limiting factors. In the mountainous environment, due to the huge difference in altitude gradient, the limiting factors of tree growth and the relationship between tree growth and climate will change greatly. Therefore, by analyzing the relationship between the growth of trees in the altitude range and climate, it is possible to deeply understand the impact of climate change on tree growth and distribution along the altitude.

Abies fargesii (Abies fargesii) is a coniferous tree species widely distributed at high altitudes in the Qinba Mountains. Under the guidance of Researcher Zhang Quanfa, Dr. Haishan Dang, the Department of System Ecology, Wuhan Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, used the tree ring method to study the firs of Shennongjia Bashan Fir. This is because the limit of temperature on growth increases with elevation, but the effect of rainfall decreases. In the middle and low altitude areas, the growth of Bashan fir is restricted by both temperature and rainfall, while in the high altitude area, its growth is mainly affected by the temperature of the spring and the autumn of the previous year.

The study also found that the relationship between spring temperature and Bashan fir growth in that year was more stable in the middle and high altitudes, but at other altitudes, there were significant changes in the relationship between other climate constraints and Bashan fir growth in time.

This research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The relevant research results are titled Climate-growth relationships of subalpine fir (Abies fargesii) across the altitudinal range in the Shennongjia Mountains, central China. The journal Climatic Change was published online (doi: 10.1007 / s10584-012-0611-5).

Microblading

Microblading, most including products Microblading Manual Pen, Microblading Eyebrow Pen, Disposable Microblading Pen,Microblading needles, known by a variety of names such as embroidery, microstroking, feather touch and hair like strokes, is a form of Permanent Makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. The technique of implanting pigment after the creation of fine incisions in the skin may date back thousands of years however the trend towards using the technique for eyebrows emerged in Asia and was known as feathering or embroidery prior to becoming known as microblading.
