The key to the blasting pulping method is that it does not require caustic soda and steamed balls, no steamer and large amount of lime, which can greatly reduce the consumption of chemicals. The waste liquid can be made into fertilizer or animal feed. In blasting pulping waste liquid, the pollution load of CODcr and BOD5 of waste liquid is reduced to 1/8 to 1/10 and 1/2 to 1/3 respectively, which is lower than the corresponding CTMP.

However, some experts believe that the waste liquid produced by this pulping method still has a relatively high pollution load and needs to be treated before being discharged; if bleached pulp is produced, the treatment of bleaching waste water may still have certain difficulties. In view of this, it must not be said that it is a completely pollution-free pulping and papermaking process.

The author believes that for blasting pulping technology, whether it can be used as a comprehensive promotion of pollution-free pulping and papermaking technology there are still many controversies, but the resulting waste liquid pollution is far less than the traditional process is the fact that the fact is undeniable of.
