Polystyrene container and hologram label

Proma Technologies of Franklin, Massachusetts, used polystyrene containers and hologram labels for Santa Sweets vine tomatoes from Ag-Mart Produce, Florida. The PROMA metallized HoloPRISM holographic paper used on the Santa Sweets label used a substrate supplied by Connemara Converting, Illinois, and processed by Spinnaker Coating, Ohio. "This is the first time that holograms have been used on agricultural products," said Ruth Kemp of the PROMA Market Planning Department. The attractiveness of the sale comes from the striking dynamic and lustrous holographic images, flexo-printed graphics and 5-colour printing pressure-sensitive labels coated with UV varnish.

"As an agricultural company, we never dreamed that we would receive e-mails about products from people, but we achieved this by creating hologram labels and images," said Robert Meade, executive vice president of Ag-Mar. This is an unexpected bold step in the field of agricultural products, bringing metallization into a whole new field.
