The Flapot ultralight camping pot, weighing just 120 grams, is a South Korean product that stands out for its innovative design. It has won prestigious awards like the IF and Red Dot Industrial Design Awards, making it a premium choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Its ultra-lightweight nature ensures it doesn’t take up extra space in your backpack, making it perfect for hiking, climbing, or camping trips.
Manufactured using patented thin metal Ω-type technology, this pot features an ohm-shaped groove that enhances durability while preventing deformation caused by bending or stretching. The stainless steel construction ensures it can withstand multiple uses—up to 15–30 times—making it a reliable tool for cooking on the go.

As the first portable ultra-light camping pot in the world, its design is truly eye-catching. When I first received it, I was surprised—it looked more like a piece of art than a cooking pot!
Upon opening the packaging, I found the product neatly wrapped in transparent plastic bags. The outer box features a promotional image and a brief description of where it can be used. Inside, the product is clearly labeled with key information such as material (not embedded steel), origin (South Korea), and important warnings.
One side of the pot includes safety notes: lightning strike warning, anti-scalding advice, and a reminder to be cautious with the corners. The capacity scale shows a maximum of 1.5 liters, which is ideal for small group cooking.
Despite the rain forcing us to cook indoors in a less-than-ideal location, I still managed to prepare two dishes. First was pepper chicken: boil water, cut chicken into pieces, fry until golden, then add peppers, garlic, ginger, and peanuts. The second dish was boiled beef, seasoned with soy sauce, MSG, and spices, then cooked with vegetables.
After cooking, I noticed some minor sticking and burnt residue on the bottom, which is expected given the lightweight design. However, with proper care and use of a heat-resistant mat, it works well for most outdoor cooking needs.
Overall, this pot is incredibly lightweight and convenient, but it does require careful handling. It’s not suitable for high-altitude use due to pressure differences. While it's a bit pricey—around $100 online—it’s a great addition for weekend getaways or camping festivals. If you're looking for something that combines innovation with practicality, the Flapot is definitely worth considering.
