RFID radio tags are actually printed on the road (top)

In every corner of the world recently, the most popular topic in the sticker printing industry in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Taiwan is the label printing of wireless RFID tags.

First of all, we need to know the principle of RFID. It should not be said that it is a smart label because it can communicate and exchange information through radio waves. It is embedding an IC chip in the adhesive layer of the label. <See Figure 1> This is a new kind of comprehensive technology.

TRANSPONDER is an auto-response type wireless transmission/reception device. It is also a general-purpose type that can read all valid RFID communication system data and can exist in a variety of packaging and printing methods. It consists of a crystal <IC> and a set of antennas.

- Materials of Transponder-

In this simple composition, the Transponder is an antenna formed on the material and mounts the IC on this antenna. This form of formation is called an RFID radio frequency tag (see Figure 2).

The most common method of fabricating an antenna is to use etching or die-cutting of copper or aluminum foil. It can also be formed by printing conductive ink on the material. This material is used as a carrier for RFID tags, and is a continuous roll-like method. (usually PET), the label is attached to a fixed position, printed at a certain distance from the high-concentrated conductive ink and rolled into a roll for easy application. This method is called a dry RFID label. Self-adhesive stickers can also be used to print and die-cut after the release paper as a carrier and then rolled into a roll. Because it is a sticky surface, it is often referred to as a wet RFID sticker.
