China has become the second country in the world to master polymer nano film technology

According to the Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the preparation and application of the s-triazine dithiol silane polymerization nano-films has broken Japan's monopoly, and China has become the second country in the world to master this technology. Nano-thin film refers to a thin-film material formed by a nano-scale (1-100 nm) element embedded in a matrix, which combines the advantages of traditional composite materials with modern nano-materials. At present, nano-film materials have special applications in defense, communications, aerospace and electronics industries, and optical industries. According to Wang Yabin, an assistant researcher of the project, a polymer nano film with a super anti-corrosive structure and an activated copper substrate can be prepared by self-assembling the s-triazine dithiol silane on the copper surface and heating; Deposited on a copper mesh and chemically modified, super-hydrophobic surfaces with superior performance can be obtained for oil-water separation. "The s-triazine dithiol silane compound is a new type of organic bifunctional molecule that can be used in the fields of catalysis, corrosion, adhesion, and electroless plating." Wang Yabin said, "The s-triazine dithiol silane compounds have been discovered since 2006." So far, important achievements have been made in the field of bonding and electroless plating, and the core technology of this material has only been concentrated in Japan." Wang Yabin said that at present, the nano-industries have entered an “explosion phase”, and the breakthrough in monopolizing nano-films will not only increase the level of bonding and electroless plating in China, but also have significant implications for the development of such compounds.
