[Abstract] The basic equations of honeycomb paperboard were theoretically established. The finite element simulation of honeycomb paperboard was carried out using shell63 plate elements. The static characteristics of the honeycomb paperboard were calculated using ANSYS. The paperboard was obtained when the midplane was uniformly loaded. Stress and strain diagrams, and analyze the stress and strain characteristics of the board. The results show that both the stress and the strain are at the maximum in the central position of the honeycomb paperboard, which will have an adverse effect on its buffering performance. This conclusion provides a reference for the improvement and optimization design of honeycomb paperboard.

Honeycomb paperboard is a sheet made of adhesive composite facestock on the paperboard sandwich layer of a honeycomb structure and its lower surface. The sandwich of the honeycomb paperboard not only improves the rigidity and stability of the board, but also improves the overall mechanical properties of the board. Because of its sparsity and completeness of structure, as a kind of lightweight material with high specific stiffness and high specific strength, coupled with its characteristics of being green and environmentally friendly, it has been more and more emphasized and applied. It mainly uses honeycomb paperboard in the packaging industry. The pressure and ease; in the J can use it as a packaging carton and packaging cushions. In this paper, the basic equations of honeycomb paperboard are theoretically established; and the static characteristics of the honeycomb paperboard are calculated using ANSYS. The stress map and strain map of the honeycomb paperboard are obtained when the midplane is uniformly loaded. At the same time, the stress and strain characteristics are analyzed. It provides reference for the improvement and optimization design of honeycomb paperboard, in order to improve the scientificity of honeycomb paperboard application.
1 Basic equation of honeycomb paperboard
Honeycomb cardboard is a non-isotropic material, but theoretically it can be reduced to an orthotropic plate when used on a large area. Based on the theory of Reissner isotropic sandwich panel, the balance equation of honeycomb paperboard is deduced.
