Color management system structure

Thanks to the promotion of the International Color Consortium (ICC), today's computer operating systems have built-in color management capabilities. If other application software and hardware support ICC, accurate color conversion can be achieved. The basic structure of the color management system is based on the operating system. The CIE Lab becomes the reference color space. The ICC profile records the characteristics of the input or output color of the instrument. The application software and the third party color management software become the user's color control interface. Color profiles such as ICC and ColorSync 2.0 are stored in a specific folder on the hard drive of the computer. When color conversion is required, the operating system will search for the required profile from this folder.
