Kodak Launches New Back Print Transparency Sheets

Kodak Professional recently introduced a durable, new back-printed transparant film that can be used on piezoelectric printers. The film (152mm thick) further expands the already diversified inkjet printer media for a wide variety of wide format printers, including the latest high-efficiency Kodak Professional 5260 inkjet printer. As the second back-printed transparant film added to Kodak Professional media material, this new 152-mm film has a transparent polyester substrate with a very high print durability and a very fast drying speed. It uses a new type of special coating to bring about an abnormal absorption capacity, even if the ink layer is very thick images, but also get bright colors, clear outline effect.
This new type of film developed specifically for piezoelectric printers can also be used on hot-melt inkjet printers and is suitable for dye-based or color-type inks. The media is designed for applications such as light boxes or exhibition boards that transmit light from behind, as well as indoor and outdoor retail product advertisements in congested areas. It not only satisfies the need for durability in traffic jams, it is also suitable for a variety of printers, including the new high-yield 5260 printer. When printing with this kind of film, it is printed behind the material, so the film itself plays a role in protecting the ink. In addition, because of its fast drying speed, it can accelerate the imaging process of any type of wide-format inkjet printer.
