Overview of the mountain peak ANNAPURNA, 8091 meters above sea level. Located on the Annapurna Fault in the middle of the Nepali Kingdom in the middle of the Himalayas, it has an east longitude of 83 degrees, 49 minutes and 20 seconds and a latitude of 28 degrees, 35 minutes and 45 seconds.
The main peaks of Annapurna are: Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (Annapurna II, 7937m), Annapurna III (Annapurna III, 7555m), Annapurna IV Peak (Annapurna IV, 7525m), Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna South (7219m).

Climbing history On June 3, 1950, the French climbers Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal first climbed the summit (the North Wall route). This is the first time that humans have reached the peak above 8,000 meters above sea level.
In 1970, the leader of Chris Bonington made his first summit from the South Wall route.
In October 1978, two American women, Irene Miller and Vira Komarkova, climbed the summit from the North Wall route.
In May 1988, a large French-based mountaineering expedition climbed from the Bernington route.
