Kyushu Space explains gas safety knowledge
Risk of gas leakage:
Civil gas liquefied petroleum gas, artificial gas, natural gas, etc. are all inflammable and explosive materials. A small amount of gas leakage forms a low concentration in the air, which will not cause fire or explosion accidents, and there is not much harm. However, if there is a lack of monitoring, the gas leakage is large or slowly accumulated, it will cause a higher concentration of flammable gas in the air. Once it reaches a certain level, there will be a fire and explosion hazard when exposed to an open flame.
Toxic
Leaking gas has an anesthetic effect on the central nervous system of the human when the concentration in the air is high, causing suffocation in severe cases.
Artificial gas contains highly toxic carbon monoxide, and a small amount of leakage without explosion hazard can cause fatal poisoning accidents; incomplete combustion will also produce carbon monoxide gas.
The main cause of gas leakage:
Ignition error, not on fire
Frying and pouring fire when cooking, or blowing fire
Due to changes in gas pressure, the flame is turned off in the middle
After shutting down the fire, the total valve is not closed
The use of burning appliances is wrong, such as accidental opening, not closed, etc.
Hose failure or pipe damage
How to handle the alarm (leakage) state:
First extinguish all fires
Quickly close the air supply master valve
Open doors and windows, ventilate
Find the cause of the leak
Do not switch any appliances or use an in-room phone
If the alarm status continues, call the gas company outside.
Alarm routine maintenance
1. Always check if the alarm is working properly: The power indicator (green) is steady.
2. Remove the stains on the surface of the casing in time to ensure the monitoring effect.
Keep the air intake and heat dissipation gaps clear and dry.
Keep the alarm indicator and power indicator clearly visible.
installation
1. Install the alarm on a wall that is 1 meter away from the gas appliance or gas source and within 4 meters.
2. Since gas and natural gas are lighter than air, please install it within 0.3 meters from the ceiling; since liquefied gas is heavier than air, please report it
The police device is installed on a wall within 0.5 m from the floor;
3. Avoid installation in the following locations:
a window or passage with a large wind speed;
Water mist and drip;
The vicinity of the stove is prone to pollution or high temperature environment;
Covered by objects.
Precautions
1. When a large number of indoors smoke, drink or use a lot of volatile organic compounds such as perfume, gasoline, banana water, paint, hair spray, pesticides, etc., it is possible to issue an alarm;
2. Please do not use ultra-high concentration gas to inspect the machine, so as not to damage the life of the alarm, and it may endanger human health;
3. Please contact the dealer/servicer/manufacturer for periodic inspection once a year according to the gas sample and concentration specified in the terms and conditions;
4. Do not store or use this product in an environment containing corrosive gases such as chlorine;
