The Application of Interactive Teaching System in Improving Chinese Teaching in Primary Schools

The effective and timely use of an interactive teaching system can significantly enhance students' interest in primary school Chinese education. It increases the amount of information delivered in class, improves teaching efficiency, and helps students grasp key concepts and overcome challenges. This system also plays a crucial role in developing students' language literacy. Its real-time feedback and evaluation features offer advantages that traditional methods cannot match. Moreover, its extensive resource library facilitates the accumulation and sharing of teaching materials, enabling the reuse of valuable educational content. First, it stimulates students' interest and curiosity. Interest is a powerful motivator for learning. The interactive teaching system creates vivid and realistic classroom environments through images and sounds, making abstract content more visual and easier to understand. Instead of static lectures, students are engaged with dynamic presentations that encourage active thinking and skill development. For example, during the lesson on "The Wonderful Internet," I used various images related to "lines" such as wires, cables, and radio waves. Students connected these images using their tablets, which made the lesson fun and engaging. At the end of the class, we watched a video of the 2014 World Internet Conference in Zhejiang, allowing students to experience the internet's wonders firsthand. Second, it enhances classroom capacity and improves teaching efficiency. The system’s visual and interactive nature makes it highly effective in improving the quality of Chinese instruction. It allows teachers to display complex or abstract ideas in a more tangible way, helping students better understand and retain knowledge. By engaging multiple senses—sight, sound, and touch—students become more actively involved in the learning process. In a lesson on Spring Festival couplets, I used images, texts, and music to present the material. Students interacted with the system using pens and tablets, which helped them develop their reading and comprehension skills. Third, the system offers a convenient way to highlight key content and address learning difficulties. Its annotation and writing features allow teachers to emphasize important points in real time, making lessons more interactive and engaging. During a lesson on the internet, I asked students to discuss and mark key parts of the text. After group discussions, I displayed the highlighted sections on my tablet, ensuring all students focused on the most important elements. This method not only improved classroom efficiency but also encouraged independent reading and critical thinking. Additionally, the system’s projection function supports immediate student practice and teacher evaluation. For instance, when teaching the character “暮” (dusk), I demonstrated proper stroke techniques using the tablet and showed examples of students’ work. After practicing, students improved their writing significantly, showing how timely feedback enhances learning outcomes. Fourth, the system greatly improves the effectiveness of classroom feedback and evaluation. Real-time assessments help teachers adjust their teaching strategies dynamically. Using the system, I could monitor students’ progress and identify areas where they needed improvement. For example, in the lesson "Let’s Go Planting Trees," I designed an exercise asking students to connect cause and effect: “There are many trees around us, so the air is very fresh.” Ten students chose the wrong option, which allowed me to address the misunderstanding immediately and reinforce the concept. In summary, the interactive teaching system serves as a bridge between teaching and learning in primary school Chinese classes. It combines visual and auditory elements, creating a rich platform for interaction between teachers and students. This approach promotes both conscious and unconscious learning, making the process more efficient and enjoyable. Its unique advantages make it an essential tool in modern education.
