Gypsum board not only has excellent thermal insulation performance (the thermal conductivity is 71% lower than that of calcium silicate board ), but also has very good function of venting and storing moisture. When moisture is high, it absorbs moisture and releases it when dry. Moisture, gypsum board moisture absorption rate and water absorption rate will be relatively low, some technical gypsum board can reach 0.015% and 4% .
Calcium silicate board is ( ' Tobabeite stone ' crystal) plus fiber reinforcement such as asbestos and pulp. ' Tobaimolai stone ' crystal is formed by the reaction of siliceous material (quartz sand) and calcareous material (slaked lime) under high temperature and high pressure (autoclave). The formation of tobe mullite crystals determines whether silicon is sufficient or not. The strength of the calcium silicate board, if the formation of tobe mullite crystals is insufficient, will cause the strength of the calcium silicate board to drop sharply. In order to control the production cost, the general toluite mullite crystals of the calcium silicate board are not formed enough, but the strength of the cement itself and the small amount of calcium are used, which makes the quality of the sheet unstable and easy to deform and wet. The rate is high (usually 0.20% ), the water absorption rate is large (generally 40% ), and it is easy to crack and other adverse reactions. The wetness rate and water absorption rate are ten times that of the gypsum board. The congenital deficiency makes it necessary to crack.
